Patches Willcox, grandmother of Caitlin ’09 and Elise ’11 Willcox, created a charitable gift annuity that provided a lasting legacy at Westridge and allowed us to expand student opportunities.

Born during the Depression, Patches was thoughtful about her philanthropy. This was reflected in the conversation she had with Westridge when she came to discuss a gift. She wanted to do something philanthropic for Westridge and was practical about how she would contribute. With a charitable gift annuity, Patches received income for her lifetime, and Westridge received the remainder upon her death.

The school is very grateful for her foresight, and her generous gift has been added to the Westridge endowment where it will benefit the school in perpetuity.
