A Lasting Belief in Westridge

I am a Westridge “lifer.” I started at Westridge in the fourth grade in 1986 and have felt a close connection with the school ever since.

I truly believe Westridge women are the future. I see it in their determined faces crossing the campus. I see how Westridge empowers them to form educated opinions and raise their voices while also listening to others. The most common adjectives I hear from people who meet Westridge graduates, young and old, is “confident,” “aware” and “curious.”

What an amazing set of life skills for a young woman to possess when entering the world! And I would also say, what a gift to the world Westridge women are. I truly believe in Westridge.

As the year came to a close, my husband, Indraneel, and I decided to make a gift of stock to the Westridge Annual Fund. A gift of stock is one of the easiest ways to make a donation. By simply identifying a stock and transferring it to Westridge, you are making a gift that supports the excellence of a Westridge education. Better still, the donation may qualify you for an income tax charitable deduction on your income tax return for the full fair-market-value of the stock and allows you to avoid capital gains on the sale of the stock.

It doesn’t matter how large or small your gift is—every gift counts in helping Westridge achieve its goal of providing girls a world-class education and confidence to meet the world.
